As a student is promoted through the kids program, they will earn their promotion through the school, but the curriculum is organized so that they will have the training to obtain a belt (two steps lower) in both Small Circle Jujitsu and Modern Arnis.

Kids Classes

The first class in any art is FREE!!! Come in and see if you like it.

Ryukyu Kyusho Martial Arts offers Karate classes for kids ages 5 and up. We incorporate traditional katas, kicking and striking techniques, rolling and falling, ground grappling, jujitsu, personal self-defense, and weapons (for the advanced students). We emphasize self-discipline, respect and safety and we strive to maintain a fun learning environment.

Little Roos (age 5-7)

This class meets Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:00pm to 4:30pm. Little Roos are also welcome at the all ages kids class Saturday morning from 9:00am to 9:30am. This class teaches Karate basics (kicking, punching, rolls, falls, and footwork), katas, and ground grappling and more. We often incorporate games to help develop students hand-eye coordination and other concentration and physical skills.

Beginning Tigers (age 8-14)

White Belt - Yellow Belt - Orange Belt Students

This class meets Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30pm to 5:15pm. Beginning Tigers are also welcome at the all ages kids class Saturday morning from 9:00am to 9:30am.This class teaches Karate basics (kicking, punching, rolls, falls, and footwork), katas, ground grappling, jujitsu, and some basic stick techniques and more. This class incorporates various activites to develop the students concentration, coordination and other skills.

Advanced Tigers (age 8-14)

Purple Belt Students and higher

This class meets Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:15pm to 6:00pm. Advanced Tigers are also welcome at the all ages kids class Saturday morning from 9:00am to 9:30am and to the Open Class Saturday from 11:00am to Noon. This class continues the students martial arts education by incorporating more advanced self-defense techniques, pressure point manipulation, weapons training and kata breakdown (self-defense application for moves in the kata).
