Master Rhodes is the founder of Ryukyu Kyusho Martial Arts. He holds a 8th dan black belt in Ryukyu Kempo, a 3rd dan black belt in Isshinryu Karate, a 3rd dan black belt in Small Circle Jujitsu and is currently training in Modern Arnis. Master Rhodes is also a level 2 Reiki practitioner.
Master David Rhodes has been involved in the
Martial Arts for over 35 years. He have also been a police officer
for over 25 years at the Indiana University Police Department
in Bloomington, Indiana. He has an extensive background in Police
Defensive tactics as a PPCT instructor and Police Survival Techniques
instructor.
He has taught hundreds of women self defense at sororities,
women's dorm floors, campus groups and local businesses. He is also
a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) instructor.
Sensei Rhodes is the author of the Women's Pressure Point Self Defense Options. This is an informative DVD that contains over three hours of instruction
for women in the use of pressure points. The techniques demonstrated
on the DVD are designed to be easy-to-learn, practical, and effective
against common attacks perpetrated against women.
He has received training
and certification from The Cooper Institute for Aerobics Reasearch
in Dallas, Texas, as a Physical Fitness Specialist.

Sensei Greene has studied martial arts for over 15 years. She holds a 3rd dan black belt in Ryukyu Kempo and 1st dan (Dayang Isa) in Modern Arnis. She has additionally trained in Small Circle Jujitsu,Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido and Brazilian Jujitsu. She has taught Modern Arnis and Kids Classes at Ryukyu Kyusho Martial Arts since 2003. Sarah is a level 2 Reiki practitioner and is currently studying Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Sensei Lovan holds a 2nd degree black belt in Small Circle Jujitsu and has studied martial arts for over 10 years. He is also a Pressure Point Control Tactics Instructor an a Bloomington Police Department Defensive Tactics Instructor.

Sensei Ashburn holds a 2nd dan black belt in Isshinryu Karate and Small Circle Jujitsu. She also trains in Modern Arnis and Brazilian Jujitsu. She has been involved in the martial arts for over five years. Her outside interests include writing and hiking, and she is currently studying Japanese.

Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu
Kellen holds a 3rd Dan in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. Kellen recently graduated Eastern Michigan University and currently attends the Indiana University School of Law. Kellen had the fortune of being an Assistant Instructor under Shidoshi Bart Uguccioni at the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo. Kellen also studied the way of the sword under under Sensei Patrick Veninga (Muso Chokuden Eishin Ryu) during his time at Dexter. Kellen has been fortunate enough to travel to Japan and train directly with Hatsumi Sensei as well as numerous other Japanese Shihan.

Tae Kwon Do & Hapkido
Bryan Robertson has been studying martial arts since 1982 and holds a 5th dan in the United Federation of Taekwondo Instructors and 4th dan in the United States Hapkido Federation. Bryan's instruction began under, now retired, Indiana University Martial Arts Coordinator Mr. Don Burns at the Don Burns Martial Arts Academy. Bryan was fortunate to become an instructor at that school and, over the years, many other local clubs including IU-HPER classes and IU Taekwondo club.
Bryan has enjoyed working out with martial artists from many different styles and has a great appreciation for all the martial arts. He really enjoys the study of kyusho, pressure point applications for both self-defense and healing purposes. Bryan considers himself not only a teacher, but always a student of the arts and enjoys working with and learning from white belts on up to grandmaster level of any art.
Bryan lives in Bloomington with his beautiful wife, Heidi, and four amazing kids. Between work, teaching and shuttling kids to all their therapies and doctor appointments, Bryan does his best to keep Heidi happy.
This experience helps keep Bryan grounded and focused on the practicality of the martial arts for people at whatever skill level or physical capability they may be at.
Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu
With 5 years of martial arts experience, Sandan Lance Garrison is the primary instructor of the Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu class. Lance first trained in Taijutsu with Sensei Kellen Myers and is currently studying under Shidoshi Dean Houser. In 2008, Lance was fortunate enough to accompany Shidoshi Houser and Shidoshi Chris Griffin to Japan to train with Soke and many of the Shihan. Lance also currently trains under Sensei Rhodes and Sensei Greene in Small Circle Jujitsu, and Modern Arnis, respectively
Fitness Boot Camp - Private Personal Trainer
Denae is a resident of Bloomington and a graduate from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Denae is a fitness instructor and a police officer for the Indiana University Police Department. Specializing in calisthenics, interval training and weight loss, Denae has experience in working with clients of all ages and backgrounds in fitness. She has taught several boot camps in the community and enjoys spending quality time one-on-one to help people reach their goals. Denae is a cyclist for the Indiana Concerns of Police C.O.P.S Cycling Team and she has martial arts experience. She is a part-time fitness instructor for Kyusho Kick Aerobics and is certified in CPR &AED. Denae has a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and will be graduating from IU this May with a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Applied Sport Science as a Fitness Specialist.
